Merry Christmas!
Though it has been two weeks since my last post - the longest amount of time since my Second Return - this has been because of the substantially increased workload that often comes with every December, and because of the social interactions with family members that accompanies our holiday. Also, the relative lack of posts by my friends - likely for the same reasons listed above - have led to a drought of inspiration. However, today is Christmas, and having not posted last year I decided to rectify the situation this year.
Last night I watched my absolute favourite Christmas movie, It's A Wonderful Life, with my family. Wonderfully romantic, surprisingly humorous, brilliant acted, superbly written, marvellous art direction and set decoration. And, of course, the perfect amount of sentimentality - moments of darkness and despair and an ending bathed in brilliant light.
This morning, among many other presents, I finally managed to acquire the iPod that I have been patiently waiting for. I have stocked the personalized black Nano with over 500 songs, to near capacity, and will be fine-tuning my selections in time for the return to school in the new year.
There will be more posts, particularly tomorrow, detailing the (many) interesting events of the past two weeks, and some anticipated plans for the next two... Until then, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all my readers, and may you have many happy returns!
