Still Kicking
Well, the boss and I had a big talk over over a 6 pack while we cleaned up on Fri night. In regard to the situation at work. I told him that I had turned down job offers while working for him and that I was put off by not be told about the changes and that I was sure I would never have been told had I not asked. Either way, things worked out for the better, if nothing else him and I are on good terms.
I participated in this competition last night to get a spot in this mystery basket competition. It's pretty much like Iron Chef. There were 5 other people and we had a chicken, a fish, and sausage for protein and I had to use tomatoes, tomatillos, lemon, endive, and celery root. I had two hours to make 2 plated dishes. I made sausage and mushroom profiteroles with a mustard/sherry sauce for an appetizer and grilled curry chicken over rice with a coconut/pineapple sauce and sweet onion relish. Kicked Ass.... mopped the floor with the competition.
