Author’s Note: Happy Birthday, rileyc! :) She requested: Pairing: Clark/Bruce. Prompt: Tattoo: While depowered and under the influence of Red K, Clark gets a tattoo. What and where is it, and how does Bruce react?

“What is that?”

Clark jumped guiltily. “What is what?”

Bruce pointed to Clark’s thigh. Nervously, Clark looked down at his naked thigh. He was naked all over, in fact. And on the inside of his thigh was a tattoo.

“L.L.?” Bruce’s expression was a thundercloud.

“Mmm, looks like.” Clark traced the flowing script.

“Why, pray tell, do you have Lois Lane’s initials tattooed on the inside of your thigh?”

“I, um…”

Bruce crossed his arms over his bare chest. He tapped his foot, which was a silent action since he was barefoot. Sunlight streamed in through the master bedroom window of the Manor.

“Well?”

“Um, do you remember when you were with Ollie in Paris?”

“Yes, on the Interpol mission.”

“And I went home for the weekend to Smallville, and I went to the county fair.” At Bruce’s raised eyebrow Clark hurried with his explanation, “Well, you know the county fair. Lots of colorful pumpkins and vegetables and pies…”

“Clark,” Bruce growled.

“I was looking at Mrs. Miniver’s jewelry booth, trying to find something for Mom’s birthday. I, um, saw this beautiful necklace with red stones and picked it up. I, uh, well, it was…”

“…Red Kryptonite.” Bruce threw up his hands. “Dammnit, Clark, haven’t you learned by now not to touch stranger, glowing rocks!”

“They looked like rubies,” Clark protested.

“So you were hopped up on Red K and Lois got you to get a tattoo. I’ll strangle her.”

“She’s not that bad.”

“She took sadvantage of you!”

“Aww, Bruce, it wasn’t like that.”

Bruce stalked over to Clark and put his hand between his legs, touching the warm inner thigh as Clark shivered. “She must have had a front row seat for this.”

Clark swallowed. “Well, Bruce, let me explain…”

One Week Ago

Clark put the necklace on with a smirk. He patted his flannel shirt as the necklace was hidden. He felt incredibly free, and wanted that feeling to last.

He strolled through the fairground, enjoying the atmosphere. People having fun was what he lived for, if it was him having it, of course.

Let the people of Smallville have their fair. His appetites were for more…sophisticated things. That meant going back to Metropolis.

He flew to the city in record time, wearing enough make-up and glitter to obscure his Clark Kent identity, pleased at the attention he was getting in his tight black leather pants and cobalt-blue sequined shirt, the red necklace sparkling as he let it display.

He could have indulged in anonymous sex and would have except for two things: Bruce and his desire for…

Clark smirked. Bruce has his darkness, but he could be a bit of a prude. No, he needed someone whose darkness and edginess could sate his appetites.

He walked briskly toward a familiar address.

“You went to Lex?”

Clark jumped nervously. “I was under Red K influence, Bruce.”

“So the first thing you do is run to Lex?”

“He and I had a thing, you know that.”

Bruce rolled his eyes. “I can imagine. I well know Lex and his ways.”

“You do?”

“Of course I do. We were at Excelsior together.”

“Oh.”

“Let me guess. Lex was more than happy to take advantage of the situation.”

A breeze rattled the windowpanes. Clark blushed.

“Actually, he wasn’t.”

“Oh, what is this? Honestly, Clark, can’t you wait until you’re in the tights? This is after hours of the never-ending battle.”

Lex didn’t even bother to look up from his desk in LuthorCorp. He had work to do.

“Lex… Clark said again.

“Go away, Clark. You’ve got a nice little life now and our friendship is long done.”

“Maybe I want more than friendship.”

Lex looked up this time, his gray-blue eyes startled. Clark smiled.

Dressed in black leather pants and boots and a cobalt-blue T-shirt that was even tighter than the pants, the red necklace glowed and glittered as Clark moved, flashes of ruby in his eyes.

“Clark?”

“I want to…”

Lex laid down his pen. “What, Clark?”

Clark’s eyes glittered.

“Please spare me the details,” Bruce growled.

“Bruce, you know Red K is like sex pollen. Did I object when you and Black Canary…?”

Bruce held up a hand. “All right, all right, but what about the tattoo?”

“Oh.”

Lex eyed the laser, the tip glowing green. “It might hurt a little.”

“That’s all right.” Clark lounged back against the headboard in all his nude glory. “Do your worst.” He re-considered. "Or best."

Lex smirked. “Open your legs.”

Clark parted his thighs and Lex grasped sun-bronzed flesh, the instrument in his hand ready to create art.

Bruce ground his teeth. “Did you have to be so cooperative?”

“Well, I, um…” Clark blushed. “I was feeling a little daring.”

“Obviously.” Bruce tapped his foot, wishing that he was wearing shoes. Barefoot tapping wasn’t quite the same.

Clark bit his lip. “I’m sorry, Bruce.”

Bruce sighed. “It’s not your fault, Clark. Damned Red K.”

Clark looked properly chastened. He sat on the bed, leaning back against the headboard. He looked so forlorn that Bruce took pity on him.

He also looked damned sexy. He leaned over and spread Clark’s legs.

“As long as Lex decorated you so nicely, I might as well admire his handiwork.”

Clark’s smile was mingled relief and joy.

One Week Later

Clark and Bruce walked in Metropolis’ trendy district, upscale cafes and bistros lining the streets as people sat at outdoor tables, eating crabmeat salad and drinking Cosmopolitans and other drinks you wouldn’t find in your neighborhood bar with a shamrock in the window.

They were both dressed casually, Bruce in black pants and a dark-green watersilk shirt with a sliver belt buckle. Clark’s pants were navy-blue with a bright blue shirt and silver choker. Bruce wore Gucci loafers and Clark’s footwear was a little less expensive but complemented his outfit.

Bruce was proud of his beautiful lover. Clark had even traded in his horn-rimmed glasses for wire rims for the night. Tomorrow he would be schlumpy Clark again with an ill-fitting suit, thick glasses and slightly-frayed shoes, but tonight he would shine and Bruce would show him off.

Bruce watched Clark walk slightly in front of him. With a solicitous hand he gently touched Clark’s lower back…right where the Bat-tattoo was etched.

Take that, Lex!

Or more accurately, Bruce would as the tattoo was right above a portion of super-anatomy that was his without a doubt.

Bruce smirked as he and Clark enjoyed their walk, followed by envious eyes.
