Ah, the joys of Christmas. I wish they were already here, because I sure could’ve used them yesterday. I was in an emotional slump until the last few hours of my shift on top of feeling kinda weird physically. So in an effort to start my shift on a positive note, here are some things I want for Christmas listed from most to least wanted:
24 (Season 3) on DVD - I watched the first couple episodes, but since I had a hard time watching/recording it, I decided to stop watching it and wait for it to come out on DVD. As if the award winning drama and action weren’t enough reason to watch the show, Kiefer is the man (he does his own stunts) and Elisha is a babe (starred in Old School & Girl Next Door).
Linkin Park’s Meteora CD - I love several of the songs from their latest CD that I’ve heard, so I think that merits actually getting it. Went to their website today and listened to a song from a collaboration they did with Jay-Z. Sounded pretty bad ass to me. I suppose there's a lot of other CDs I could ask for, but this one would be easy for someone to buy for me...that is if I can restrain myself from buying the CD/DVD limited edition bundle off eBay at a cheap price.
A couple non white T-Shirts - I have lots of white shirts, but just a few decent shirts. The rest are button down collard shirts. I’m sure I can count on my mom to get me some that I’d like. If not, I’ll just exchange them at wherever she buys them from.
CPU Fan - Occasionally the fan attached to my computer's processor makes loud vibrating noises, which can be pretty annoying when it takes several bangings on top of the computer case to make the sound quieter. Fortunately, it seems the fan speed is relatively unaffected, since the processor temperature doesn't seem to be any higher than it usually is.
CD/MP3 player car receiver - Nothing too fancy (<=$150) since I'll likely sell my car in a few years. It shouldn't impose major filename/folder restrictions like JVC (any folders must be numbered 01-12 to be accessed, maximum of 8 folder hierarchies, 200 folders, and 512 files and/or folders total). It would be nice if it supported variable bitrate MP3s and so would a remote, but those aren't must haves. After looking briefly at a list of them,
this one by AIWA seems pretty similar to what I would want.
A long (10’+) component video cable - This way I could hook up my computer in the den to the small TV in there. Useful for when there’s something I’m viewing that I want someone else to see.
A cheap bicycle - Might be nice for getting around campus & neighboring areas a little quicker and having more fun doing so.
Video output card for Chump - This way, I could show stuff from the computer downstairs on the living room TV.
Surround sound system (receiver & speakers)? - Not sure if this would be a very good idea with roommates, since I wouldn't want them to disturb us with it or vice versa, but I’ve kinda wanted one for the living room ever since moving into the condo.
Another monitor or computer? - The thought has crossed my mind the past few days. It might be nice to have a flat screen LCD for either upstairs or downstairs. Additionally, I’m getting a little annoyed by Chump’s sporadic problems, and having another computer could replace it.
Another hard drive? - Unless I rig Chump or Renegade Master to hold the extra 30 gig hard drive, I might want another one, because my 100 gig is quite full.
That’s all for now. I may post again later about how yesterday was.
