I'm breaking this MASSIVE entry into a day-by-day update to describe my awesome summer vacation. I'll update daily if I have the energy. I won't.
Well, so far it's been pretty awesome. I'm glad that classes are over, but the whole "living with the parents for a while" thing is getting old real fast.
Thus far, I've made my first of several trips to NH/MA/CT/NY of the summer. It was a week long extravaganza of me being incredible at everything. However, the RX-7 isn't 100% fixed yet, so I was unable to drive it up to show off. Oh well, save that for next time, haha.
Let's see. The vacation started with a 7.5 hour drive to NH, during which I spent almost a full hour behind an Atlas Van Lines truck waiting for an accident to clear up on I-80 Eastbound. I took pictures of it, but I'm too lazy to upload them. Instead I'll outline what was going through my mind at the time.
3:00pm - Left from PA
4:43pm - Start Traffic - "Maybe it's just a little congestion"
4:49pm - Still in traffic - "Hmm, people are passing on the shoulder to turn around... I should have left sooner..."
5:01pm - Moved 0.8 Miles - "That's a cool truck I'm behind..."
5:01pm - "His paint needs touched up..."
5:05pm - Moved 18 feet - "Woooo, still here"
5:25pm - Moved 2.7 Miles - "There's a dead thing next to me... I bet it smells awful. Good thing my windows are up."
5:27pm - "SON OF A BITCH IT'S COMING THROUGH THE WINDOWS!!"
5:38pm - Moved 0.9 Miles - "What the crap is that thing on the side of the road? Looks like part of a car..."
5:39pm - "HOLY FUCK IT'S A CAR!"
5:42pm - Traffic picks up and we get moving - "Sucks to be that guy that crashed."
That was the longest it's ever taken me to go four miles in my life. I could have WALKED THAT SHIT. At least it didn't ruin everything about the ride. I got to exhibit my ADD to everyone else in traffic as I danced in my seat to music that they couldn't understand (J-Rock).
I called Travis and Dimo when I started getting close to NH (like fifteen minutes out) and we met at Burger King at 10:50PM to get STACKERS. I didn't stop to say hello to them since they were loitering in the parking lot. Instead I drove straight in screaming "BEEEE-KAAAAAY" and pulled up to the Drive-thru. We had a sick train of three cars all getting the same thing (at least I thought we were until Trav pussied out and got a Whopper). We sat in the lot and bullshitted about useless crap, then we went to 7-11 to get soda, and so that I could piss since I hadn't the entire duration of my drive. After a few hours, we got bored and went to Trav's to play video games. We played Guitar Hero until Dimo left, and then Trav and I retired for the night.
STAY TUNED FOR THURSDAY!
