MBT-ing
What an awesome experience this was. Even if it was from my basement laboratory of hotness with me sitting in a dinky looking chair as my stomach growled for food.
I had just came in and signed up around 11:06pm to see MBT prepare for their show. Then finally the lights dimmed down and I sat back and enjoyed the show. I was accompanied with glowee (my temporary concert buddy), petit.15 (my secondary concert buddy after glowee left due to comp problems) and then some other person named Lee Sanford who was about Lou Kestella.
T'was great. Glowee and I typed "sing along" when were told to. We also made fun of Jeff because he couldnt see the play list due to him not having his glasses on. Haha. I made a comment about how it was going to go down when I saw him take those bad boys off. Haha...and it sure did. Glowee and I also commented on stage lighting and whatnot during certain selections, which were great. Eventually she/he (I think it was a she) lost her/him video and could only listen to the music. But then she/he ended up leaving soon after...I guess there were too many complications OR she/he just figured that she/he could pop in the cd and jam out in that fashion. Anyways...it was fun to chat it up with her/him. (I should just say "them" instead)
After one song was played Lee Stanford popped on and then after him petit15. Lee asked if any one had seen Lou's performance and I said I had missed'em. He pretty much hinted that Lou's set was pretty awesome so I asked if there was a myspace or something that I could listen to. He linked me. Lou's not bad at all. His song "Forget About the Rain" was pretty damn nice.
But anyways...I digress....back to the hotness.
So yeah, checked out Lou and then thats when petit started to ask a bunch of questions. Who were the names of the musicians of MBT...yada yada. Dont know why he would ask...he seemed to know them anyways. So we chat it up... We sort of poked at how Jeff seemed a little nervous on his new keyboard to which Petit told me that MBT originally had a keyboardist in the band but he ended up quitting. So that was interesting to read up on. Petit then asked how I knew Jeff and so I told him that I met him through a friend to which he asked who was the friend. But of course he didnt know who they were. At that time the Backstreet Boys cover was being played and he asked me if I knew this cover... I said no at first because I wasnt familiar with how MBT started the selection off, but once the lyrics and the melody kicked in...everything else sounded VERY familiar. I mention that the cover was played at MBT's cd release party and he agreed. He later on asked if I remembered a guy with a camera...which I did. This TALL...BUFF kid with a video cam that later started to go bananaz after he had like two huge pints of beer in him.... (I think that was him)
Oh but wait...I was able to save some of the conversation that was in the chat room:

TheBrad: yeah theyre close friends and whatnot
petit.15: have you heard this cover yet?
TheBrad: no sir I havent...
petit.15: its there best cover, its amazing how they turned it into rock

petit.15: yes they did
petit.15: you were at there cd release show?
TheBrad: yeah
petit.15: do you remember a guy with a video camera?
TheBrad: I helped them unload their equipment

TheBrad: you were up at the top of the steps right?
petit.15: uh..........not really
petit.15: maybe
TheBrad: mustve been someone else then
TheBrad: but there was a guy there with a cam
petit.15: taking pictures maybe, i had a video camera, i was in the back and the i went up to the front
TheBrad: oh well, I guess not then, but yeah I was there

LeeSanford: NH

TheBrad: nothing at all, Im in Nashua
petit.15: except its in newhampshire
LeeSanford: oh. the guy operating cameras is from littleton NH

TheBrad: awesomes

It was all that I could save and show proof that I was there...via cyberspace. I also just randomly found out that my comp (PC) was able to record four hours worth of footage of the streaming vid. But of course....I didnt find this out until AFTER the freakin concert. Dah well...maybe next time.
All in all...great job MBT!!! Proud of you boys! Keep it up!
