Yeah so like a friend of mines is going to be going skydiving in a few weeks and that sparked a new skydiving animation idea of mines. Its actually the total opposite of the first one I had a LONG time ago, as far as content I guess.
Anyways.
So now I have two ideas right... The first one deals with Trapt's "Waiting" song. That song is soooooo awesome. I had it on my Myspace for a while. It's a classic coming from Trapt.
Anywho.
This joker starts out with the main characters spouse, gf, or whatever being brought to an open field with a lot of other people. They are told to look up in the sky. *cue song* The look and this huge wide screen display panel in the sky (think Minority Report technology) that shows the lyrics he is singing to her while the music is blaring. The guy has already jumped out of the plane and he is accompanied with his band. That's when he goes on singing the song. His girl is sooooo surprised about the event she ends up sort of crying throughout the song. Smiling of course. This was an event set just for her and her only. Everyone else just spectates. He eventually lands and they hug and cuddle and so on and so forth. Its pretty basic, but its so meaningful.
I love that song.
Alright...the second song. This one deals with Saosin's "I Never Wanted To". This so is REALLY awesome. I guess it's so awesome because it's a new animation that came to mind.
As all new things are.
Yeah, so, this one opens up with us seeing the character on the plane and he is taking forms from the others. Everyone's got on a parachute pack except for him. *cues music* Everyone's pretty sad because they know whats going to happen. The main character jumps first and then the others follow. His ex is waiting at the bottom. She knows nothing of what is happening. Its night time so the figures in the sky are very hard to see. There is a display panel in the sky like the other animation, doing the samething. During the hook the words are shown and there are fireworks involved. One thing that we finally realize is that the main character is without a parachute. The forms he took were forms saying that the others (his band) would not try to catch him when its time to pull their chutes. She eventually figures out that its him.
You can pretty much guess the ending of this one.
I recommend checking out these songs. They are really good.
So many animation ideas and not enough time or money to make them. That's why I do animatics. I got a couple that are about to go up soon on YouTube:
Cerulean and Street Fighter: Demon's Rage
Just got to get them compressed as soon as I can.
