Here's a tip for all you the aspiring PR professionals reading this blog:

Don't pitch a company that is ceasing operations.

Chances are good the reporter does not want to write about a company saving thousands of dollars, if that same company is also closing its doors due to rising gas prices.

Call me crazy.

Remember when Google could do no wrong?  Well, now it seems the Internet search giant is realizing that with success comes increased media scrutiny.  The blogosphere is abuzz with news that Google News "walls off" it's content to outside news aggregators, while Google itself scours the Web for news, which is then published to its news site.
