Tonight is the Jeopardy online test.
It consists of 50 clues with a maximum of 15 seconds for each clue. The test takes no longer than ten minutes.
That's a lot of questions in a short amount of time. During my test-taking days, I tended to not do as well if there was a time limit; however, I suppose it's necessary so as not to allow for cheating.
After the test is completed, your results are reviewed by the panel and they contact you within one year if they want you to appear in one of the designated cities for the next step. You do not get to see your final score.
I usually fare better in the first round than I do in the second. I've put together a list of categories I will bomb, as well as categories I will likely pwn.
Bomb
English royalty
15th - 19th century composers
It's all Greek to me
The War of 1812
Algebra
Pwn
Before & After
Potpourri
Baseball
The 50 states
The American Revolution
Category with a letter, or series of letters, that appear in the answer
Everything else will be hit or miss.
What are the odds I will qualify for the next round based on my knowledge of all things random?
Questionable.
Wait.
What is questionable.
