So, I don't normally follow sports, and I don't know that anyone who reads this will care, but NC now has our first national title thanks to the Carolina Hurricanes, who won Lord Stanley's Cup (that's so much more fun than just "the Stanley Cup") last night in Raleigh. If you live in the area, it was sort of hard to miss the news...they had a whole parade, the TVs and radios were flooded with the news...it's pretty frickin' cool. It's been fun watching ALL SEVEN GAMES for the past couple of weeks...I'm going to be bored now. Well, not really...I did just have an AMAZING trip to Massanetta with miss Natalie W. and next weekend is Savannah...my sunshine is coming back to America soon (hooray!) and I'll have time to read and see some good films...
Speaking of films, tonight I saw "A Prairie Home Companion" and really liked it. Then again, I've been forced to listen to Garrison Keillor for years on many a road trip with my family, so it was definitely our kind of thing.
A woman walked in with porcelain skin
And I asked her what she'd come in for
"Liquor" she said
And lick 'er I did
And I don't work there anymore.
