Ok well, I'm having a tough time and here's what's up:
A couple days ago I got a call from the owner of my Barn, Holly. She's asking how I did at fair and such and then she goes "I heard that you might be leaving, and I don't want that" and I had to play nice and tell her, "Oh, no I'm not leaving" and a load if bullshit. So we're talking and I expressed an interest in one of her horses, Coplean's Ice. And she says "Oh yeah, we've got new people and we're going to teach him to jump this winter" And I'm pretty skeptical about that, but we'll see. Anyway, at the very end of the conversation she tell me that She's willing to buy a horse for me. I was floored. Completely caught of guard. I mean, she's not offering me much, she said $2500 was reasonable, but if I can get $3500 out of her I can get a decent horse. So that brought up a whole new set of issues with leaving or staying and such. So if you girls could go look at some of these horses and tell me what you think it'd be *GREATLY* appreciated!!
[P.S. Before you look at these horses, what I want is an al-rounder. A horse that does Western and English and jumps. That's a pretty tall order, but, yeah.]
Go to www.dreamhorse.com and up at the top click on "Search". Scroll down and click the "Horse ID Search" And jusy copy & paste in these numbers.
Codys Double Spirit -- 328433 -- I think he looks pretty cute and does a lot of what I want... except I doubt he's actually been trained western
Amber -- 312225 -- She sounds pretty nice... and I got pictures of her today and I think she's cute. She does barrels and english and western, which is pretty cool.
Zip On The Darkside -- 297018 -- I just e-mailed his owner, so I honestly don't know much about him. He sounds like he's been trained on the flat, but it doesn't say much else... especially about his medical history.
Sorrel With Chrome -- 284742 -- I e-mailed this owner today as well... and it doesn't say much at all. But hopefully I will get an answer. Otherwise she's cheap and sounds half-way decent.
Ok, so the second part goes like this:
I was talking to my mom and she was like "I would pay to have this horse boarded to be trained somewhere" and that was like WHOA. So that could possibly happen. And if I decide to take Coplean I was htinking that maybe I could get Holly to pay for part of it, instead of buying me a horse. But I don't know if that would work... because you have to step very carefully eith Holly so you don't hurt her feelings by making her think that you think she COULDN'T train the horse herself. So... I don't know. We'll see.
On another note I called Sharon yesterday about Triple's Little Lady, but she hasn't called me back, so I'll try calling a little later today. I'm looking forward to trying triple out a lot. So we'll see ;DD
