Months ago I was growing depressed with the already developing Presidential Election. I have always been intrigued by many party democracy both in their ability to better capture positions, as well as their much shorter election cycle. How cynical can I be, when I say that at least half of the politicians' time is campaigning. So now, we've been watching possible candidates position themselves over a year in advance of *the* vote, and months ahead of any vote.
In all of this, I still burrow down and try to select my "hopefuls", as in who I'd like to see at least have a shot at election (some past names include Howard Dean and John McCain). So this past summer, many months ago, I was intrigued by a second tier candidate in the Republican field, Mike Huckabee. I got out my little mental pennant and started waving it, my cheer for him.
Anyway, this week I've just had a sense that I'd rather everyone else knew. And for at least those of you who read this, who are voting US citizens, and *gasp* conservatives; you might take a look too.
