Bunch of reviews

Haven't written reviews in a while...I'm about two orders behind in terms of what I have vs. what I've reviewed on here, heh. So this must be rectified.

Pumpkin Queen
Regal Egyptian Amber, red ginger, orange peel, mandarin, cardamom, fig leaf and warm pumpkin.
In the bottle this smells like Jack, very buttery...and Jack eventually decided he hated me, so I'm nervous. As it dries, it smells...like spicy fruit? That'd be the orange notes...they _really_ want me to know they're there. It's like if you stick cloves in an orange...it's the Orange Queen! This has a nice wearlength, and as it wears on the orange mellows out so it's just a nice spicy scent. Not pumpkin _pie,_ exactly, but definitely very regal and very autumnal.

Miskatonic University
Irish coffee, dusty tomes and polished oakwood halls.
Yup. It's what it says it is, all right. Sweet coffee with a bit of an alcoholic sharpness. As it dries, it becomes my favorite coffee drink: a caramel-flavored latte. *grins* Yeah! There's a little tiny bit of dustiness as it dries, but it's the nice kind of dust. See, Jack also smelled like dust to me during one of its stages, but that was nasty dirt-type dust. This is just a mild, nostalgic dust, and sweet dessert-y coffee over top of that. I can totally see why people used to sell their souls for this before it became GC. And hey, something that smells like coffee and libraries - this scent is the story of my LIFE. (and just about every other college student, heh!)

Kindly Moon
moonflower, lotus root, white gardenia, beeswax, peach blossom, blue musk, stargazer lily, golden osmanthus, ti, sandalwood, hyacinth, ylang ylang, and a touch of vanilla bean.
...Fruit? Odd, because the only fruit I see is peach blossom, but that's still a flower. It's beautiful, though! Florals tend to smell like cheap perfume on me, but these flowers are very pretty. I get an aquatic feel from them...well, not _aquatic,_ but like these are the type of flowers you'd smell near a pond. It also feels...fancy, like a Southern Belle type scent - you'd have to wear this with a skirt, at least. I'd definitely wear this if I was dressing up to go somewhere.

13 (Oct. 2006)
thirteen lucky and unlucky components: cocoa and vanilla beans, Mysore sandalwood, star fruit, orange rind, red amber, fig leaf, mimosa, rooibos tea, bourbon geranium, rose otto, nutmeg, and lavender.
I like 13 a LOT. From the older reviews, I was hoping for chocolate oranges, which I didn't quite get, but what I got was fantastic. It's very well-blended, gives off a kind of sweet powdery impression. It's like...powdery flowery chocolate. Which sounds gross when I put it like that, but it's actually lovely. I also get a lot of vanilla from it...my skin chemistry frequently makes vanilla SCREAM at me if there's even a little of it in a scent, so it's a good thing I like vanilla. I get a leeeeetle bit of orange and fig leaf, and some flowers, but mostly it's cocoa and vanilla, kind of desserty and cookie-ish, but more complex than that. It is very happymaking for me, and I like it.

Haloa
Wine grapes, myrrh, frankincense and olive leaf, and the warm scent of offertory cakes.
Upon reading the description, I thought, "Athens with cake? I'm there, dude." It's not _exactly_ that (although now that I think of it, this would layer awesomely with Athens), but it is amazing. It's kind of honey/spicy cake in the bottle, but not overbearingly so, and with something else deeper (most likely the frankincense and myrrh...god I love frankincense, and I never thought I would, either). And berry scents! It goes through phases when it smells like blueberry muffin on me. It's one of those warm winter comfort scents.

Creepy
butterscotch-kissed, caramel-smothered red apples spiked with a blast of coconut rum.
Like Misk U, this is _exactly_ what it says it'll be. You will not be disappointed by Creepy. In the bottle it's mostly caramel with a little bit of boozy coconut. Then on me, it's pure apple with a thick layer of caramel over top. On the crooks of my elbows it's more appley than caramely...I don't know why this is, but my elbows tend to amp green smells or fruity ones. Bizarre.
I wore this on my birthday because it was my 21st so I had to wear something with a boozy note, but not so much so that people would think I had started partying a little too early. And the coconut rum is extremely light on me, so I think I succeeded in that. This one's throw is quite good, though...I walked around in a cloud of caramel heaven all morning. ^____^
