You thought that I would break first, but you were wrong. I guess I appreciate the effort but you know what? You've said a lot of things to me over the last few days, and not one of them began with, "I'm sorry".
I know you better than that, after 22 years of living, I know you better. You'd let me die before you'd admit that you were wrong. This isn't make-believe, we're not pretending here. When I see you again I'll still be just as angry, just as insulted, just as hurt so go ahead and try to smooth things over with some sleight-of-hand and a big smile.
