Meet Juno, the new addition to my home:
We had planned to get a Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy once we were settled. A preliminary look on Sunday gave us a few leads but they fizzled out. I was chatting to a friend at work about it on Monday and he checked back on the same site I had been using and saw an advert had just been posted. A family in Weston Super Mare had brought a puppy but their older Labrador really did not get on with it. They made the decision to find her a new home. It became apparent that they wanted her gone asap. The original plan was to visit on Tuesday and then if we got on with the puppy, the puppy liked us and the owners thought we were suitable, then we would return on Saturday. This was too long a duration as they did not want their children to bond even further with her. So we went and had a look as planned on Tuesday... and came home with her. She was clearly from a loving home and all the paperwork was in order, so I am confident she is not from a puppy farm.
I have had the past two days off work so I can care for her. She loves laying on my lap, dozing. She also loves being a bit of a tearaway. Much training will be required but on balance I think we have been very lucky to get her. She is absolutely beautiful and adorable. The tricky bit now is to adapt our lives around her needs.
