I'm in Detroit now -I had a 6 hour layover (don't know how that happened, I must not have paid attention when I bought the ticket online) so I paid for a day's membership to one of those airline club/lounge things. I won't say how much I paid for it, but it was only about twice as much as the wifi costs in the part where all the normal people have ( Read more... )

I'm not reading about all the food with flavors!! Not reading them!

Is Prep2Go where you work in Turkey? So what's causing the end of American dominance this time? It's got to happen sometime, I suppose -- an opinion which is possibly based on the fact that I just finished teaching about the Roman Empire. :)

I'll have you know that I went to Greece for a week with one duffle bag and a backpack. And I had extra room! boys! :)

Did you read my brother's encouraging theory about my escalator? He thinks it eats people who wander onto it by themselves at night. So comforting!

yeah, Prep2Go is the name of the school. I'll let you know what's causing the end of American Dominance once I get there... I'll start with Vonnegut's book. I went to the bookstores and felt bombardedwith all of the opinions...

I'm impressed by your packing... tell me, how many pairs of shoes do you have there with you?
-I'm gona read your brother's theory...

on a completely different subject, here's something you'll appreciate, from Friday's history class:

me: So, does anyone have any current events that you're dying to share?
Michael: Miss Andyshak! Did you hear? A bunch of Japanese scientists are bombing Loch Ness to blow Nessie out of the water...!
me: You've been watching Napoleon Dynamite again, haven't you?
Michael and Roger: *grin*

Yep, it's Jane, my favorite character. Packing for Athens, I wore a pair of walking shoes and packed a pair of sandals. :) I have decided that I am one of the world's best packers. And very modest, too.

Shocking, I know... if you still wanted to visit Prague again, are you working in June? Because the last day of school for me is June 8th, and I have nothing going on from then until the 13th when my brother arrives.
