He had told the TARDIS to take him where he needed to go, and so she had, careering through the stars on a brand new adventure. The Ponds were up in bed in their brand new, extremely boring, non bunkbed bed, and whatever they were doing, he had no desire to know. What he did have though, was the stars, and all of space and time before him with the best ship in the universe.
His smile couldn't have possibly been bigger.
As they flew through time and space he paid no attention to where she was taking him. Wherever it was, there was an adventure to be had, and as she had said to him, she always took him where he needed to go. So when the TARDIS set down with a pleasant sound he stared at the door with a childlike grin.
The work belt still remained around his waist, and his jacket left over the railing, he ran eagerly towards the door and pulled it open, but what he found outside was far from the exotic planet or far away starship he expected. Because he found himself in the Stormcage containment facility, and more than that, he found himself bang in the middle of River' Song's cell.
With a stern look, he glared at the TARDIS. She must have been playing tricks on him.
