Brang out the old laptop

In general, hard drives should not sound like barking squirrels or have a rattling sound when you shake them, so I think that was the major cause of my old laptop dying. However, I would like to test and see if maybe I can resurrect the rest of the system

I have a laptop HD, however if there's a chance of it getting ruined I'm not sure I can loan it to you. If there's a minimal chance of something horrible happening to it, you're welcome to borrow it.

I think the hard drive I had just failed is all. It is definitely broken and I doubt that the laptop itself somehow caused it to break. The worst I can think of happening is formatting it if needed, but it may be possible to just pop it in and see if windows loads.

Have no idea how big it is though.
