Brang out the old laptop

In general, hard drives should not sound like barking squirrels or have a rattling sound when you shake them, so I think that was the major cause of my old laptop dying. However, I would like to test and see if maybe I can resurrect the rest of the system.

Does anyone have a laptop HD I can borrow to test this / buy from you? I'm talking something even like 10 gb
