Standing or sitting?

I was reading the BowieNet message boards today and came across a post saying a fan called one of the venues I will be playing (in Denmark) to find out if they will have seats or if they will be standing. She said that they told her I requested seating, despite the fact that the venue is usually standing only. That's total rubbish! I personally think that seated venues can be a bit blah. I hate being up on stage, trying to feel the energy of the crowd, and seeing only silhouettes of people shifting around in their seats in front of me. I want to SEE the faces of the crowd, touch hands, make eye contact. That's what gives the energy and the rush! I think also that's what makes the crowd happy. Or I thought. Many people posted saying that they prefer seating though, to my surprise. They don't want to be trapped or pushed around, and some people are too short to see up front. I feel for both sides, but I don't know how to accommodate both. I just like the idea of being able to move around to wherever you wish at a concert. I always hated getting put in a crappy seat at concerts I've been to. And I loved knowing that (if it was a standing show), I could really move up to front row and be right in the center and the madness of it all. I guess it would be nice if you had a seat along with the option of standing. That way if you get tired or claustrophobic, you can return to your seat. What do you people think? Which would you prefer? I want to make this enjoyable for everyone..
