There was a time that I wanted to write an entire paper on listening to other people's conversations, particularly catching the tail-ends of them. Here is the end of one that I overheard while walking through TJ Maxx the other night:

"It's got to be funny though, like someone falling off a roller coaster and landing on a box of kittens."

This just reminds me of one of Lewis Black's rants. "If it weren't for my horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college..." or what have you. I say you should make that a collection. Should be funny as hell.
