This is the famous German Spargel, the white asparagus. It is for sale everywhere in Hannover, the pride and joy of north Germany.
The conference I am at is held at the 100-year old Bahlsen cookie factory, now repurposed to a hotel. This is the golden cookie!
It seems that Hannover is not much for tourists, but there are lots of architectural gems from the Victorian times, like this darling unicorn. In fact, wasn't Queen Victoria from the Hanoverian line?
This is the typical old German architecture. Unfortunately the British bombed much of the city, but this is one of the few streets that survived.
