Hello, people!! :D
Currently: I'm rereading Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, playing a kids' online computer game called Wizard101, and I'm working working working at my mom's job at Kraft Foods. As you may have seen on my Facebook, I'm also trying to teach myself ASL (American Sign Language). It's going great, considering I'm learning from books.
Recapping: My past semester went very well. I've gotten at least two or three letters about how awesome my grades are, and I made some just delightful friends. My favorites I've already mentioned: Matt and Eric, the two gay guys from my Astronomy class. As for my roommates, India is moving out but Sophie and Angela are staying. We're trying to get a new roommate to replace her, but the search is taking the Housing Dept FOREVER. We may end up having to split things three ways this time, which is not ideal.
All in all, I'm doing good. On a personal note, I've decided that the prospect of having a boyfriend is just...how to say this...unappetizing? No, that sounds horrible. Well, you get the point. While flirting is sorta fun in the moment, I just despise everything that comes after: The waiting. The anxiety. The frustration at the guy's inevitable immaturity showing. The regret of ever having mentioned him to friends or family. The ridiculous things being attracted to someone makes me do. A relationship is supposed to bring out something better in you, not make you want to bang your head into a wall! I'm just going to stop looking for a while and...have a real life. Learn a new skill, or something.
Oh, and I think I'm going to take Anthropology as a second major. There are so many wonderful, actually helpful things you can do with that kind of background. I could really make a difference in some community's life. :) Plus, with my Spanish language skills, I'll have a lot of open doors in foreign countries.
