Hey there folks.
You know I just got to thinking how very few of my friends really know what my day to day life is like. You all know the stuff that happens at each end of the scale, whether it be very very good or deep in the other direction. Some of you know what I do for fun, some of you know what my living situation is like but even after some of you knowing me for almost 8 years (I became a 'Furry' I believe May of '98) I know very very few furs that really have seen me in my living space. (Ill be snapping some web-cam photos of what my actual room is like and posting them here. Before this room (my family moved into this place about 3 years ago) I, indeed, haven't had 'my own room' go, over 7 or so years? It might have even been back when I was 17, the first time I 'left the nest'. I am now 30 :)
I'm very proud of this room because it represents not only what I am, but all the things I love and have worked for for a very very long time. Alot of the things in here are the results of me being out here in Vegas. I have made more headway out here in buying the things I enjoy and make me happy than any other location I have spent time in. Hell, I even have a lil doggie now! (he has been a major source of positivity through this year, possibly the hardest year I have had to date)
This morning I woke to my collection of Voyager's season 1 playing. I always port something over to my TV (Oh s-video out from my video card allows me to use my computer as my DVD/VCR/kinda media machine). It's so damn nice specially since I have a surround setup in here which seems to make it seem like there are speakers in places they aren't. Ooooo spooky ;) )
I started building a computer system for my mother out of the multitude of 'out-dated- parts I have in here. She used to write any chance she got at work before she retired and I have put off building this thing for way too long. It's halfway built and I should have it done within the week. -smiles- It has been her dream for a very very long time, and I am very sure she is where my exceptional (to me) grasp of language and 'wording' comes from. She has told me that since I was 4 I was reading small words. In Kindergarden I was the only one to know how to prononuce 'sh,th,ch,ph etc..' and by the age of 6 I was stealing he 'Reader's Digest' on saturdays just so I could read it ASAP. (she also said I threw tantrums if I couldn't watch Sesame Street) It definitly enlightens me as to how I can be so verbose and have quite lengthy... sections of text ;)
I make tons of errors sometimes, but I always have seen evidence of exceptional ability. :) My standardized testing scores in Vocabulary and Reading comprehension were 'Post-High-school' when I was in 6th grade. :) It's helped alot in making me the highly expressive foxie you all know ;)
Anyways, I need some phood... still watching that Voyager so ;) Be well all :)
