Things have settled down in my life - a bit. In an attempt to return to some normalcy, I'm trying to go back to the things I enjoy which I haven't had in my life recently. So I got back on LJ today, I downloaded 3 new books for my ereader, and I started planning our trip to Scotland this August (to pack up our daughter's flat and then go play tourist). I love to read, am usually an avid reader, and yet I realized I haven't read anything for quite some time. So I got Nora Roberts' Dark Witch, Ake Edwardson's Death Angels, and Mark Helprin's Winter's Tale - an Irish supernatural romance, a Swedish/British mystery, and an American romance (?). I'm starting with Dark Witch because it's easy to ready and I'm on painkillers, so I need something I don't have to concentrate too hard on.
On the trip front, all I've done so far is check airline prices and driving distances. If anyone has any ideas for "must see" places or things in England, Scotland or Wales, please let me know - I'm very open to suggestions.
On the wacky weather front, today it was in the 70'sF, yet by Tuesday they're calling for chance of snow (again! grr). Still, I enjoyed the warm weather, as did our crazy cat who has had a severe case of cabin fever after the long snowbound winter. Well, if we get more snow I now have books to keep me company.
