What's more pathetic: the 80's, or the decade that wishes it were the 80's?
How many times have you heard "Yeah, I'm really into the 80's right now" from vapid Hot Topic tweenies who have no idea that the very statement is a corporation-authored fad engineered to make them buy ridiculous clothing and DVD sets for TV shows that shouldn't have been aired in the first place.

...is something I'd LIKE to say, but I can't pretend to be on the outside of corporate culture and unaffected by its awesome power. Although I will be glad when this "80's" shit is over in five years and everyone can be nostalgic about the 90's, which will be amazingly ironic since everyone in the 90's was incredibly busy being nostalgic about the 70's somehow.
