Books:

1. A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett. This is my favorite book, because it's about being yourself when the world tries to change you, and everyone could stand to learn that lesson. I also like that the little girl is kind to every person no matter their race or position in life...THAT'S another lesson everyone should learn.

2. Wicked by Gregory Maguire. I liked this far more than The Wizard Of Oz! It just makes a lot more sense. Elphaba challenges everyone's views on good and evil...I think that's what makes me love it so much.

3. Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie. I'd like to say here that I am talking about the BOOK! I wasn't that impressed with the Disney version of it. Something about the boy who didn't ever want to grow up caught my attention and has held onto it ever since. "To live would be an awfully big adventure."

4. The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. This book has always been one of my favorites. The children in it are sickly but they get better by simply using their minds and convincing themselves that everything will be okay. It just shows that your mind can do incredible things iffen you just try.

5. Northern Lights by Philip Pullman. You all probably know it better iffen I had said "The Golden Compass" it was retitled in America. Honestly? I first read the book because of all the people talking about how bad the movie was and that you shouldn't take your children to see it. Everyone knows that someone telling me I shouldn't do something just makes me want to do it. I haven't seen the movie but I have read the book. It's another one of those good vs. evil things but it's also a book that makes you think, and the thinking part is what makes me like it.

Movies:

Okay...I don't really watch a lot of movies or tv because it doesn't hold my attention. I'd rather read or go to the theatre, but I do have a few that I like.

6. Phantom Of The Opera Okay...it is way better on stage BUT I did like the movie. Gerad Butler was a GREAT Phantom, not as good as my Daddy of course but I think I might be a little bi...bia...biased. *grins*

7. Labyrinth "You have no power over me" best line ever and I shouldn't have to explain anymore after that! No really...go watch it.

8. Breakfast At Tiffany's I love this movie because Holly Golightly is always running from herself. I like watching her find out who she is.

9. Rent The friendships and the hard times each character goes through in this story can't help but keep your attention. Again, was better on stage...but I can say that the movie was actually okay. Probably not a movie most four year olds have seen but anything that has to do with Broadway I cling to tightly. I'm still working on talking my Daddies into letting me see Sweeney Todd the movie...anyone want to help?

10. Serenity Yes I am a little Browncoat thank you very much. What I like about this movie is even if you haven't seen the show Joss Whedon made it to where you could understand and enjoy the movie. River's victory over her mind and the whole teams victory over the alliance is amazing! "You can't take the sky from me!"
