Illusions of Love
Completely lost in your reality
I only knew what you told me
Not sure who to be
Without your whisper of expectancy
I change my perception
Changed it all for you
And now your gone
I'm not sure what to do
Like shadows on a wall
You seemed larger than life
I bought into your lie
Only wanted to be your wife
I turned around once
And looked into your eyes
They were hallow, shallow
It came as a surprise
You weren't this huge being
That I saw in my dreams
You were sad and pathetic
Not at all what you'd seemed
And now that your gone
Feel a sense of relief
No longer trapped by
Your illusions of love
I've stepped into the light
See the shadows no more
I'm finally free
Free to explore
