A prayer of sorts

As peoples' motives become clearer, you begin to see them as like threads in a complex, interweaving tapestry whose intricacy cannot be compared. Jagged or harmonious, gentle or dissonant, every social scene becomes a beautiful painting.

Even the most die-hard optimists can appreciate the raw power and beauty of Edvard Munch's The Scream, just as a straight-laced melancholic may recognise the mischievous, roaring subtlety of Da Vinci's Mona Lisa.

May we one day fully be able to see and understand the form and nature of our own strokes on this ever-changing canvas, and contemplate our share in tomorrow's Mona Lisas and Screams.
