So, I didn't 4.0 bio 220, but fortunately, you can hold a 3.4 in Bio 220 and, as long as you have held higher than a 3.4 total GPA coming into the major, you are basically a shoe-in for neurobio. So I did way better than a 3.4, and my cum GPA is way higher than 3.5, so things are good. Kind of lame how UW is still using the way outdated 'applying to hard majors' system. So the good thing about this, is, I think I can just enjoy my time at the UW from here on out. I hear Neuro is really not hard at all, just a lot of fun, and you're with a lot of fun people, who have a vested interest in learning, so it's kind of just like structured curiosity in classes. Also, I won't have to gum up my dumb schedule with dumb classes I don't care about (see geography, history of the american environment, etc) because English is basically open major. So yeah, I'll be in school for 5 years of undergrad, plus hopefully 4 years med school, then 3 years residency... So there's still a long way to go. But I guess little things like this accumulate. GREAT!
so now that class is over, and the most important class of my stupid life went well, it's time to forget everything important I learned and die (due to slacking) this Summer. The boss said I could just work 4 day weeks (presumably so they pay me less, and I do most of my work in a shorter period of time), but nonetheless, I still might be able to have 3 day weekends from a PART TIME JOB (smile, beaming, happiness). So yeah, life is good
so might the poisonwood bible, which I'll start reading today.
Now, for a special feature that I will try to include at the end of all my journal entries -
BEAUTIFUL FICTIONAL CHARACTERS (from the realms of books, video games, pop culture, etc)
Lord Indoril Nerevar (TESIII - Morrowind)
Lord Indoril Nerevar was the most charismatic and celebrated mortal leader of the Dunmer residing in the Tamrielic Province of Morrowind. Supposedly, Nerevar forged many powerful relationships during his lifetime, most importantly his friendship with a Dwemer King and his alliance with the three man-gods of the Tribunal - The anticipation of Boethiah - the Female Almalexia; the Anticipation of Mephala - the hermaphrodite Vivec; and the anticipation of Azura, the male Sotha Sil. After a terrible misunderstanding between the scattered tribes of the Dunmer and the unified, technologically superior Dwemer, Lord Nerevar was responsible for uniting all the Dunmer, bringing the Gods of the Tribunal together, and the eventual defeat of the Dwemer in their caverns and fortresses scattered around the volcano, Vvardenfell. A close friend to all his lieutenants (including his loyal friend, Dagoth Ur, and the whole Tribunal) he was nevertheless betrayed deep inside the heart of Red Mountain by the Tribunal after they had banished his friend, Dagoth Ur.
