I'm not a fan of the books whatsoever, urgh *burns them*, but I like the cast of the movies. They're really awesome. So I sort of have to be half in the fandom so I know what's up with the actors. It's a precarious position and people often mistake me my fandom as one for the books, fml. I can't wait for the whole crap to be over so the actors can move on to better and less unintentionally lulzy things.

Also? Girlfriends? Wow, your father sounds popular. My parents were married young, they pretty much only had one or two previous relationships before getting together. Sooo unlike my peers, lol. I gotta tell you, it amuses me that people celebrate one MONTH anniversaries. Not that I'm mocking their happiness, but that a month qualifies as an event of great importance... *shakes head*
I'm going to wait and see what the writers do with the new boss, the thing with Bosco was handled with subtlety (IMO), so I don't think it'll be in your face.
You converted me, damn you! I went from loathing Bosco to finding him endearing [that whole thing with the sub and being threatened with his wife’s dietary regimen?] and it was so annoying that he immediately got killed off. Plus, the way his character caused Jane to respond made me lose some respect for Jane. Haha! Those books were the only items of any worth, in my eyes, anyway. There were just used mugs and plates and stuff. Good for students moving out of home, perhaps, but eww. No thanks.

That is so cool! I hated pretty much all the books on our reading list, it’s all so boring- and why the hell do they discriminate against sci-fi/fantasy books? They have just as many themes and issues relevant to our society as the crap that we’re forced to read. *frowns*
I remember picking a Star Trek: Voyager book for a Lit assignment. Heaven! People told me I'd hate the book by the end of all that analysis, but I still loved it, getting to nitpick and critique one of my fandoms for school was just so much fun!
I think it's a Molly Quinn thing, not an Alexis thing. Okay, I admit, there are some decent Australian shows, but none that I personally love. My grandmother adores Halifax, it's playing on Foxtel all the time, and I've sat though some of it- but I can't ship anyone, and for me to get into a show, I generally need a ship. *shrugs*
