Oh man. I can't even. Soooo much I want to comment on here, I'll be at it all day. but I really need some food to fortify me first, so this is just a pre-comment comment XD I'll be back! This is a post of epicness. And there are fics I haven't read! I miss fic, I haven't read anything in MONTHS.

I'm okay with a certain level of darkfic, like there are some where Hermione is kind of hardcore raped by Death Eaters and it's not particularly pleasant or anything, but occasionally it does produce good stories. And again, it sets up so much angst which just delights my soul, haha. But I agree that most do go too far, especially with the Death Eater angle. Tbh, I think the idea of revels where the DEs torture and rape people and whatever is both overdone and ridiculous to begin with. I know they tortured Muggles for no particular reason but ... IDK. Maybe it just shows up in way too many stories so I'm just sick of it, but it seems like, not the kind of thing they would be wasting their time on quite as often as some fics would have us believe. I feel similarly about MLC, that they're waaay overdone at this point and just a little boring, but I'm so happy you mentioned CoMC because seriously, second favorite fic ever. OMGGG, I am dying. I so wanted to reply to this before and even now I can't really because I'm stressing out a lot about stuff and I just can't focus right now (my lecturer just emailed me about my essay result and I'm kind of...bleurgh), but I just wanted to comment now, to say:

1) ILU for your amazingly in-depth remarks (it makes me feel like my post was worthwhile, y'know, because damn, I spend too much time blathering on and then when nobody engages, I get sad, so THANK YOU)

2) I will totally be replying in full soon, JSYK, haven't forgotten about this. (pre-comment comment? Stealing that, lol)

3) Re: Fade to Grey, I don't want to spoil you but since you don't seem likely to read it, I'll say this- Hermione travels in time jumps. She skips a couple days or months and then finally years throughout his life. In the last chapter I read, he had grown up and was older (although IDK how much older), and it seems likely that she'll keep jumping to a point where he'll recognize her. I can't wait for that, hehe. Imagine, he's grown up ( ... )

I am very happy my rambling makes you happy XD I always feel like I should like, try to condense my comments somehow, like leave out less important bits or something, because I am the rambling queen of Rambletown. But I love being able to discuss fandom since as I have mentioned before, my boy is not at all interested in HG/SS beyond saying how weird it is and I have no RL friends who would even vaguely understand. So I get a little carried away. Your posts are absolutely worthwhile; I still read all of them even when I have never seen the show/read the book you're talking about, just because I like to read the things you have to say <3 ( ... )
