D: It sounds like you and thousands of other fans are going to be going through some severe withdrawals, huh? It's never fun when your favorite series gets over. There's that overwhelming sense of dread. Hopefully the movie will be SO AWESOME though that you guys can have something to look forward to - and have the series go out with a bang, rather than a whimper.

I'm trying to get ahold of a copy now! I could order it online, but I freaking hate waiting for my books. lololol.

Oh - Amy mocks him mercillessly - but he's become quite the badass in recent episodes. but I can tell already I'll love the relationship these two characters have. I ship more in books than I do in movies/television shows. I've only got two major ships these days and I'm pretty "meh" about. But I'm not gonna lie, one of the things I'm most excited about in the new Percy Jackson books is the resolution to the whole thing that went down in the last book with my Percy/Annabeth ship. ;___; Probably the worst part of book!shipping is waiting for the next one to see if anything gets resolved...

Pretty much! Withdrawal is a good word for it, lol. I"m sure it'll be awesome, everyone's stepped up their game so much in DH I that they are practically guaranteed to blow it out of the water for the finale. ^_^

Good luck getting a copy! *fingers crossed*

I've seen a few gifs of Rory dressed up in armor and being a badass, so yeah, cool! I'm happy their relationship is making you happy. *squish* I don't have many ships myself these days, which is sad, so it makes the few we have all the more precious.

I have to get around to reading the Percy books sometime! TBH, the trailers for the movie put me off, 'coz it looked pretty lame. I was like, 'Really, the monster has to wait all the way on the other side of the museum as she lies in wait to come and attack him? Please.' :P But I'm intrigued by Percy/Annabeth, so I may make time for it. Are the books better than the movie?

From the trailer I wound up seeing the other night - it really does seem like they're stepping it up for the finale. I'm crossing my fingers all you guys will have something awesome. =D

And hehe - thanks. ;) I might be going to Borders on Tuesday if I can convince my brother to take me, and if they don't have any comics I want, I'm totally going to buy this book.

Rory is completely badass when he's in the armor. ;) Even when he's blubbering over a baby and totally ruining his entrance. xD I don't have too many ships these days either. For some reason, the way television has been portraying romance is just leaving me feeling very meh about it all. *clings to the few ships she has*

I think you'll really like the Percy books. I may or may not have an ebook/audiobook copy I could send you. shhhhh The movie was terrible. I'm not even kidding. It left out at least four major plot points, and it aged up all the characters to the point where one of the plot threads are totally irreverent. Percy being the son of Posiden is supposed to be a BIG FREAKING DEAL because the "big 3" (Zeus, Posiden, and Hades) agreed not to have children after their last kids started World War I. In the movie? That's not even mentioned ONCE, despite the fact that it's a driving point for the entire plot. *dies* SO yeah, the movie is pretty terrible, you're right on that. the books are FANTASTIC. They're written with the eleven year old boy in mind, so sometimes you get chapter titles like "I vaporize my pre-algebra teacher" or "we feed happy meals to the dead". But the characters grow over the series, they start out at age 12, and the main series ends when Percy and Annabeth turn 16 - so it's a bit like HP I guess, where you kinda read as the characters grow up.

My main gripe would be Percy's near invincibility. Usually things like that irritate me to NO END but he's such a likeable main character that I really didn't mind by the middle of the first book.
