In short: Booster Gold = Hardcore
Booster Gold #1 Preview. Oh, man, it's really just a week away. <3 (Well, it's past midnight here, so I guess it's less than a week away now. <3) Various interesting things about this preview. What sticks out to my numerically-minded self is Booster's December birthdate. Because it makes him 19 when he started heroing instead of 20. Less than a year shouldn't make that much of a difference, but it totally does. ...I can't quite tell if that's supposed to be the 24th or the 29th, though. *Squints* I kind of want it to be the 24th, not for the Christmas Eve factor, but for the fact that it'd make Booster's birthdate 12/24/2442, and I think that's hilarious. So many twos and fours and that 1 is almost like a 4, if you just put a couple more strokes on it. Sure, having him be born in February would've been better for that, but February wouldn't make him 19, now would it? Well, 19 then, at least. I can't imagine you could estimate his age now at anything less than 27 or so. Maybe 26 if you stretch it a little, but I wouldn't.)
No, wait, Fishy has pointed out that it looks completely different from the 4s on the next line. Good going, me! So it's 12/29/2442. Eh, it works. Doesn't really matter. Booster is (well, was) still a young'n!
I wish I could be that successful at 19.... Of course, I'm just not a bad enough dude to save the President. ...I probably should not mix my references like that, but I regret nothing.
I finally finished off Ted the blanket! Haven't actually measured him, so I'm not sure how big he is, other than "sufficient," but I'm too lazy to do such before he gets laundered. Hopefully that isn't just a disaster waiting to happen. We'll see. Tomorrow. It shouldn't take me two days to do laundry, but I keep forgetting I have things in the wash and I'm sure that if I tried to do things now, I'd, like, wake Dad up or something and it's better just to wait.
I am worried about the possibility of my action figures not arriving before I leave. :/ Nyergh. The whole thing's just kinda iffy. Blagh. It's not a big thing in the grand scope of things, sure, but I'm impatient, and what's my LiveJournal for, if not me whining about trivial things?
