Well I was hoping to of made a post sooner, but I have not had the time till now. Oh well. I just feel like rambling for the most part.
Last Saturday night was really fun. First time in a long time I have had a lot of fun. I accompanied Miss Mary Beth Sills aka the "Flavor of the Month" to a ball in South Charleston, Ohio. I will admit this was the first time I had fun at a ball, and actually enjoyed. I felt a little out of place as being the only person there wearing a confederate uniform. Oh well. Mary and I had fun making fun of certain people and their clothing, and the way the acted. Oh yes, I saw some things I hope never to see again. I lost count of how many dances we actually did, but it was more than I have ever done at a single time. I did make a mistake and I am sure I will be ribbed about it, for not having any white gloves. Yes I was scolded several times. However we had fun conspiring against certain people!
Be forwarned: If you ever see Mary and I together and you have pissed either one of us or both of us off, run for your life!
The fun part of the night or not so fun part was during the carriage ride. Really not so fun. While on a back street some idoit drove head on at the horse and came very close to hitting him and us in the carriage. I know the driver was yelling at them, and when they came by the carriage the driver had a stone/drunk look on their face. What idoits. I can't believe some one would do that. It is not like you can miss it. Especially since the carriage was equipped with safety lights. Any ways the cops were alerted and I hope they were caught. If I got a hold them I would had the damn horse walk on them. All in all I really enjoyed myself other than that little incident.
Not much else is going on. I have a reenactment this weekend at Evendale, Ohio. It will be a nice miserable weekend with the temps in mid-90's. Oh what fun. I was hoping my pard Lee would make it out, but he can't. Which sucks! Oh well. Part of me is half tempted not to go this weekend, and work on the rail car instead. What do I do? Wear wool clothing in 90 plus degrees or work on a stainless steel passenger car with no operating HVAC? I think I will do the reenactment.
