Back from vacation

Well, it's almost been two weeks now, but given my habit of procrastinating, I'm only posting now.

Since the beginning of August, I've started a new internship in infectious diseases, which is pretty interesting, with the doctors always asking us questions and explaining stuff to us. Hopefully, I'll master antibiotics by the end of it. On the downside, there's a lot of administrative work, because the patients need a lot of exams to try to figure out what they have, how their condition is evolving.

Back to the important (or at least, the most fun part): vacation! With my family, we went back to California for a month, visited family and friends. We stayed in the Bay Area, visited my father's uncle in Southern California, and finished in Lake Tahoe, the best place in the world (to me at least).

Photos are .

This picture was taken in Muir Woods, north of San Francisco. We went walking there with my uncle, in the middle of the beautiful Redwood trees.

View of our trip down highway one.

While we visited some family in Bishop, we went hiking from Long Lake nearby. It was really pretty, but we forgot mosquito repellent and were eaten alive!

We went hiking to Rubicon Peak next to Lake Tahoe, and here is the view of the Sierras from the peak, and the other way, the lake. It was beautiful, if a little scary while sitting on top of that rock!
