This post has a sneaky double purpose. It is the long-owed meta post I promised talitha78 on her masterpiece talitha78's That's Not My Name but it doubles as some pre-season-9 reflections on Smallville and, most importantly, Clark Kent. ( cut for a lot of gushy Clark love )

I found this episode abysmally boring. ( Where's Lois? )

I haven't felt much like posting since I got back, as my energy and attention has been focused on setting myself up in a new phase of my life.

However, I have caught up on Smallville--admittedly somewhat reluctantly at first--and I was surprised to find myself quite charmed by the rebooted Clark/Lois. This season still seems incredibly hit or miss ( Read more... )

Ok, so clearly someone on the Smallville writing staff believes there are still some Clex fans watching. However misguided this impression may be, I say we need to celebrate this.

It's the heatwave edition of my review. Sorry guys. I'm not expending any more thought energy on this until at least one of the following things happens:
- the temperature drops 15 degrees
- Smallville returns to the show I recognise.
