It wasn't the episode I wanted, but it still had a lot of interesting aspects.

Yes--I agree about the peace movement. Severe lack of logic there. I couldn't understand how they could have reached this point of view. Surely even if they couldn't really imaginatively compass the scope of the Cylon annihilation of humanity, they must have all *personally* lost loved ones to the Cylons? How then do they feel that just rocking up and surrendering is going to work? Grr! I wish they had been more fully fleshed out, because, as you say, I'm sure there are people in the fleet who feel marginalised and I'd be fascinated to see their perspectives displayed.

re. Gaius's character regression--well, I've always had a really bleak view of Gaius and so in some ways I just groaned and thought 'oh yeah, back to this!' So perhaps I didn't have as strong a reaction against it as you. However, I do agree that it seemed like a regression after the last three eps, when for the first time ever I was really moved by him. At another level though, I feel like he was destined to betray them in a major way at some stage. I guess now's the time.

Yes--I was missing my Kara-pov viewing buddy so I guess that's why I needed the fleshing out of Kara's perspective. I suspect, like you, that she's pretty comfy with how things have worked out.

Lee! R&R! Now! I hope you are right... also, his R&R needs to include some very specific ... um... actions. *prescribes sex and lots of it*
