RL is messing with my fandom activities

One day back at work and I'm already grieving the loss of quality online time. :( Especially with so many shiny fun things right now!

There's lots of great meta coming out about BSG's 'Razor' (and I am not going to get sick of talking about that any time soon!) and also the funniest deleted scene I've ever heard of needs to be giggled over. I mean ( Read more... )

Damn, I'm sorry to hear about the vidding woes :( Will you be able to recreate it quickly?

I looked at the text in that deleted screen script and had a literal WTF? moment. It made my head hurt, trying to comprehend what on earth was going on - and it also didn't do a lot to endear characters to me :P It does play into the "Anders is better for Kara" school of thought though. *sighs*

I'm sooo tempted to waste a few evenings putting together an attempt to do a humourous picspam in the format "A Tale of Two Pilots..."

I'd watch that continental coffee comment though - I've seen Three Colours: Blue. You're supposed to add your coffee to vanilla ice cream, which means you won't lose weight but you will get to eat more ice cream.

I had a WTF moment too. I just couldn't see Kara blurting that out to Tigh of all people. I have to wonder if the writers worked backwards. By that I mean that they knew how they wanted Tigh and Kara to interact with each other once they were back on Galactica, needed a bonding scene set up the new closeness, and thought what better way then have the guy in the frakked up relationship give advice to someone juggling two frakked up relationships. But Kara holds so much in, we're not even sure she's told Lee and Adama about her childhood, that I don't buy her sharing such a huge moment and decision in her life with Tigh. My take was always she woke up, freaked out, and went running off to find Anders and drag him to the alter...or river...to avoid analyzing it all.

Same, and I'm glad they cut it. (But that's not going to stop me laughing! *g*)

It seems like such a completely surreal thing for her to do. Tigh??? I mean... Tigh??? At least it wasn't Hot Dog ( ... )

I'm still not really sure how to take the deleted scene. On a completely basic level it is amusing and silly and odd.

But if Kara's decision was influenced by Tigh at all then Lee had no chance. Tigh has always clashed with Lee and yet he liked Anders right from the start (re: drinking scene and laughing at Sam's lame jokes).

And I think I'm glad they ultimately cut it because realistically, I don't think Lee would've stayed naked and cold for that many hours without waking up for Kara to drink a bottle with Tigh and then get married an entire hour before Lee made it back to camp. Seems a bit too much of a stretch to me.

I do hope it's on the boxset though, as well as the one Jamie mentioned about Lee and Kara being honourable with each other.

Do you think we might get all the outtakes for pilot!sex too?

I'm still behind on Smallville...must catch up!

Amusing/silly/odd? Yes, I concur. *g*

Tigh has always clashed with Lee and yet he liked Anders right from the start
Yup. Of course Tigh would never support Lee, and if Kara actually did blurt this out then I feel like she's smart enough to know Tigh's not pro-Lee. So then you'd have to start wondering if she was just looking for someone else to push her in the direction she was already going.

I agree with you that it makes the timeline even more silly. I mean I can see Lee being a little wiped after the crazy sex (*smirk*) but not THAT wiped. *has faith in his endurance*

, as well as the one Jamie mentioned about Lee and Kara being honourable with each other.
I want that one more!

Do you think we might get all the outtakes for pilot!sex too?
If only!

All the time we were enduring the Quadrangle of Doom and flinging insults at each other's factions, we should really have been blaming Tigh?

I know! It might have been in response to Wisteria's post that I posited that if Tigh had encouraged Kara to stay with Lee things would have been very different. I'm thrilled the scene was cut for many reasons, mostly because I just don't see Kara blurting THAT out to Tigh of all people. And I never felt that outside Lee, Kara, and their rightly suspicious spouses, no one knew what happened between the two. Good editing Ron! :)

And because you are having horrible vidding woes I shall forgive you for not commenting on my 'Razor' thoughts yet. ;p

Yeah it's always a little comforting to see that the deleted scenes have been deleted for GOOD REASON. Not always the case, admittedly, but nice when it happens. :D

And I am SO THERE for your post! I nearly mentioned it here in an OMGASTA77HASPOSTEDMETAMUSTREAD way but then I wondered if it was locked? Anyways, I will be there soon soon, promise! *manic*

One of the things that sucks about seeing Razor early is not being able to share our thoughts with everyone. I wanted to rec your post too! And check out the posts of some people who commented on your post. Come Monday night we can all unlock though. ;-)

Ahaha! That's a great WTF? comment :-)

I still can't get over the fact that Clark may be about to CLONE HIS OWN MOTHER.

Is that not the absolute and final proof that Clark and Lex are MADE FOR ONE ANOTHER?????? We know Lex will be creating his love child with Clark in the future :-)

Absolutely! :D They just need to confess to each other their secret desire to clone and all will be happily ever after... with clones. :D
