Advertising and curiosity

Not very often will I see an ad on a website that I just have to click on. When that website happens to be Facebook, it's even less likely.

Introducing EVDense: A revolutionary new service that enables you to log and collect electronic evidence and empower yourself!

EVDense is the first digital journal hosted by a trusted third party. With an Internet connection and 128-bit, 256-SSL-capable Internet browser, you can use EVDense to upload electronic files in a secure, tamper-proof environment. You can safely create a personal journal, as well as record and store all of your digital files including, photographs, videos, voice mail, taped conversations, e-mails, and instant and text messages.

EVDense Corporation is based on a unique combination of expertise from the legal, knowledge process management, and IT software industries. Our people have decades of experience in their fields of expertise, and have been working together as a team for eight years. Using the proprietary "smart data collection machine," EVDense represents the culmination of these experts into a single "Software-as-a-Service" solution.

Sigh. It had to happen someday. I'm glad it exists, but at the same time it saddens me to no end that this sort of thing must exist.

safety canary, silliness, w-t-f??
