Somehow I have managed to actually finish the OpArt baby blanket on time. Well, actually I'm casting off, so it's all but finished. And I still have to weave in the yarn ends.
Here's Miss Emily, most precious kitten goddess, modeling the blanket as is:
OpArt Blanket, pre-blocking
Now, I have to block the damn thing. Here's where I could use some sisterly advice. It's made out of Patons Decor yarn (75% acrylic, 25% wool), and needs serious blocking to get the shape right. Do I soak it, pin the hell out of it, and let it dry naturally? Or do I steam it, with or without killing it? Or combo of both? Halp!!!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm heading into Toronto on Sunday to deliver it to a very deserving infant.
