Damn. Just as things were starting to look really promissing for this budding relationship, the bottom drops out. The person that I was starting to see, that smiled when I told him I wanted a child, and accepted all of my eccentricites of lifestyle, called it quits, when someone at work gossiped and let be known that he and I were bf/gf for some ( Read more... )

I have had a similar experience many times over the last several years. The memory of those experiences is still near enough to have an idea of how you are feeling right now.

It's not the same, and it won't make up, but let someone hold you in a hug and take away the loneliness for just a minute or two. If only just to remind you that you are not alone.

I wish that there was something I could do to make it all go away, but that I know isn't possible, but if there is anything I can do to make it easier, please let me know.

I would ask why the gossip had such an effect? Were you supposed to be secret? Gossip happens and if thye are that uncomfy with it, then they deserve to be alone. You will find someone.

Your bitterness is showing dear. I know you have had a hard time, and I wish I could be there for you in person, but in all honesty, if sucha simple thing sent them packing? then they were not for you, as you deserve better than that.
