Notes: second submission for Challenge 17: Holidays. And god was it hard to whittle this down from 128 words to 100.
Meeting him, no one would know that Dan liked Valentines Day. Of all holidays, it was the most over done, tacky affair. And Dan would agree with that and despaired over the celebrations of the Idiots, but he still liked it.
After all, only once per year he got to take Jones out to dinner. Only once a year that he got dressed up, made reservations, and really showed his wonderful boyfriend that Dan really did love him.
If that one day reassured Jones for the other 364 that Dan loved him, Dan could handle any amount of heart-shaped confetti.
