A/N: Third submition, time, just a bit silly really.
Five minutes.
His hand is clammy in yours, and his eyes wide and full of fear, but you know this needs to be done so you stare resolutely away- determined not to let you’re resolve break.
“Please, Howard, please don’t make me do this.”
You swallow, throat dry, and try not to hear the desperate pleading in his voice, his words. It’s his fault that it’s come to this.
The clock is ticking, echoing around the room. He’s squirming in his seat, counting the minutes and urging the clock to turn back on it’s self. You think that it does what he asks maybe twice; but there’s only so much that even Vince Noir can ask- so he’s back to focusing on you, you grip his hand tighter and shake your head. It has to be done.
“I’m sorry, Howard, I’m sorry, I won’t again, please, Howard, please don’t make me, I’m scared.”
You risk a glance at him- a rookie mistake- your tenacity crumbles.
You stand up, pulling him with you, and whisper, “Come on then.”
He looks at you like you’re his salvation; his everything, and together you run out of the dentist’s surgery- three minutes to spare.
