paradise/hell
paradise can become a hell over night--anyplace in the world. As here we have a triple threat, floods,volcanoes,earthquakes...but all in all I still would rather live here than Minnesota any day---for many reasons.
We have survived a 50 year flood here and are putting back the pieces slowly....it was quite the experience, to say the least.....what happened was they opened up the dam flood gates just as the rain was the heaviest..i think a lot of heads will roll whoever opened those flood gates....but like in all disasters...they always have a solution AFTER it happens. Now I know what it felt like in New Orleans..I think it is good to have a few "bumps" in the road once in awhile....."Whatever does not kill you makes you stronger"..I think Neitche is quoted as saying...and it is true.
But don't send the next "bump" for a long time-[LOL] PS: we did have an earthquake in Metro Manila yesterday but was small enough not to cause any damage to our house..5.5--the bad ones are 7 or more.
