In the immortal words of Monty Python.. "It's only a model." Basswood, full size. Off to get some modeller's files for wood (have bunches for metal, but don't want to use them on wood) while running other errands. Then I can clean up the teeth, saw marks, seal it, and let the coats of sealant dry overnight. Then tomorrow.. sand casting!
The foam etch method couldn't avoid messing up at least one tooth, so I went for the "wood without true tooth pitch" method. (sorry, solopistnation, not accurate enough for your clock hobby fun.. not yet anyway.)
Went pretty fast, too..
