That was what it felt like to have a family to her. She hoped that it would continue even though they were all back to their normal sizes and ages

[Well hey there girl at the fountain. You have company now. Ceodore's bundled up for the cold in appropriate attire and not armor for a change. He sits down beside Selphie and tucks an arm around her.]

[Selphie smiles sadly at Ceodore.]

It was nice to have a family even if it was only for a week.

[Even with Cecil being returned, it's just not the same. Being forgotten is more painful that he'll admit to. He mirrors the sad smile then leans over and kisses her temple.]

[He takes a good moment to think about it. He remembers clear as a bell gushing to a child about his family and how happy they made him. It contrasts so much with how he feels about the burden of being theirs now. And yet he finds himself wishing Cecil still knew him.]

[Selphie closes her journal before standing up and pulling Ceodore up with her.]

[Once on his feet, Ceodore holds his arm out to Selphie. Once in a while he can remember his upbringing.]

Okay. Where're we going?

[Ceodore doesn't explain until they get to a spot between the forest and the lake. Nothing at all remarkable. It's just water and trees.]

This is the place.

[But it's pretty~ Selphie doesn't wander into the forest very often these days so she stares at her surrounds in awe.]

It's the spot I've found that comes closest to looking like home. If the lake were the sea and the trees were the forest south of the castle. Facing this way, the desert is to the south west and beyond that the Chocobo Forest and the valley leading to Mist Cave.

[Good luck getting him to admit it, but Theodore's story made him homesick.]

[Selphie closes her eyes to imagine it and smiles as each little part of the puzzle comes into place and forms a brilliant picture. It's nothing like Trabia or Balamb and it sounds like an exciting place.]

[Ceodore watches her with a fond smile. Selphie makes him ridiculously happy, even in the littlest things.]
