I was in a fairly serious blue funk for a while. I was certain that a large contributor was the clutterheap that was my apartment; when I first moved in here, we had 2 hours to get all my belongings from the truck to a pile in my floor, and then I stashed it away as quickly as I could so I could get on with my life. I worked from home yesterday and the day before because someone was coming in to look at, and then to repair, my kitchen faucet (it was leaky and had almost seized completely). Work has been harsh lately. The past month has been running around preparing and fixing demos. And two weeks ago they gave me a huge project they need done by early January. I was tired today, but not in the usual, physical sense. My brain was unmotivated and easily distracted, but yet not that easily interested. One thing I forgot to mention was that, two out of the three nights I spent at home, I had vivid dreams. I can't remember the last time I had a vivid dream here, but I know dreams are important for restful sleep, and besides, they're fun. Today I hit the big four-oh. I feel as good as ever, and am ready for the next forty.

Blood donations, that is. My mom commented that as of today, I've saved her life five times over. I encourage you all to give blood if you can, and if your beliefs allow. People close to you could need blood.
