In all my dreams, it's never quite what it seems...

I had a really weird dream last night. Those of you who know me know of the "protective leather coating" that I have on my feet (for those of you that don't, my feet have huge calluses on them). It's very handy to have leatherfeet. I can walk on glass and fire and feel nothing (or at least I'm sure I could). I could use my feet to stop bullets.

I'm thinking that the protective leather coating acts as a kind of metaphor for your vivaciousness. In your dream, it's being ripped from you. Did your date make you feel as though you should "tone it down" (thereby taking it away from you)?
