You can't have a mitochondrial Adam, mitochondrial DNA is only passed from mother to child. See

Yeah, James and I were discussing the fact that in the end, Hera really didn't serve that much purpose. She was just a catalyst.
A bit like Alora Danaan (sp?) in Willow. The whole prophecy is totally self-fulfilling without her lifting a wee babby finger.
